Our reels require very little maintenance.  However, there are a few things you can do to help get the most life out of your reel.

 

• Saltwater care:Our reels are built to be corrosion resistant.   However, saltwater can still leave deposits that can build up and cause your reel to not work to its potential.After saltwater use, a freshwater bath is highly recommended.  Simply rinsing a reel under a faucet will not rinse the reel where it needs it most.   To ensure that the saltwater is rinsed in all areas, place your reel in a bowl, sink, or tub of warm freshwater.  Completely submerge it, and leave it for at least a few hours. 

 

• We recommend a second stage of this process as well, soaking for a few more hours to make sure everything is out.  This will minimize or eliminate salt deposits in the reel’s working parts.

Bearing Warranty

Reel bearings are covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase.

After one year, replacement bearings are available at USD $20 per bearing (PCS).

Lifetime Warranty on Other Components

All other reel components, including the frame, spool, spindle, and internal hardware, are covered by a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects.

This warranty applies to normal fishing use and does not cover damage caused by misuse, modification, or improper maintenance.

FINREEL covers round-trip shipping costs for approved warranty repairs.

After 1 year:
Customers are responsible for round-trip shipping costs.
